A shoebox, chequered skull and squashed Citroen car were on display at a new exhibition at London's Tate Modern gallery dedicated to Mexican artist Gabriel Orozco.
Some of the 48-year-old's most recognizable works are included in the retrospective, which runs from January 19 to April 25, including an oval, pocketless billiard table across which the red ball swings like a pendulum.

David Nelson, who starred on his parents' popular television show "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet," died Tuesday, a family spokesman said. He was 74.
Nelson died at his home in the Century City area of Los Angeles after battling complications of colon cancer, said family spokesman and longtime Hollywood publicist Dale Olson.

The fate of Broadway's most expensive accident-prone musical is in limbo as producers try to rejigger their high-flying stunts in time to satisfy safety investigators and reopen.
Producers canceled a Wednesday matinee performance of "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" after Monday evening's 30-foot plunge of a Spider-Man stunt double into a stage pit.

One advantage Oprah Winfrey might have in establishing an identity for her new television network is that many of her competitors are in the same situation, even if they've been around for a while.
Some of the biggest existing cable networks that are aimed at women — Lifetime, WE, Hallmark and Oxygen — are in some degree of transition as Winfrey's OWN prepares for its New Year's Day debut. The goal is to distinguish themselves so OWN won't siphon off viewers.
