Tell us about yourself - what do you do and what are your goals for the future?

I'm an Electronic Technician Chief with 27yrs in the Navy
I love kayaking and have pictures of one I'm building on my PickensPlan page. I love renewable energy and have a picture of 400watts worth of portable panels with a surplus hand crank genny that I used for my 100 watt ham radio. What makes you feel successful?

Try try and try again until you suceed. Don't give up your dreams. Contribute to something bigger than just yourself.

How do you balance life and work?

It is very hard. For the last 3 years I've spent approximately 9 months or more each year at sea. My answer is that I have a very understanding, patient, and loving wife. My recommendation is to marry a nice girl and treat her like a queen.

If you were given a free day and could spend it anyway you wished, what would you do?

I would like to visit North Dakota where I have considered buying a small farm.
